2025 Press Release:
For 22 years, The Wrath have been a relentless force in Australian punk/rock, igniting chaos since 2003 and proving they’re built to last. From hazy beginnings, they’ve conquered Australia and Japan, and now they’re gearing up to drop their third full-length album, Into the Arms of Oblivion, in early 2025—a fresh chapter in their storied run.
This isn’t a band that fits neatly into boxes. The Wrath fuse punk, rock, metal, rockabilly, hardcore, goth, and industrial with a fearless edge, earning respect across scenes and tearing down genre walls. Leading the charge is Tommy Creeper, a vocal powerhouse blending darkwave depth with crooner swagger. Spectre Deano and Carina Acquarola rip through guitars, while The Count on double bass and Dan Briffa on drums lock in a rhythm section that’s pure dynamite.
Their live legacy speaks volumes—sharing stages with heavyweights like The Misfits, Tiger Army, Lagwagon, and The 69 Eyes, and leaving their mark on festivals like Big Day Out, Dead of Winter, and Wallapolooza. Their 2015 album Disillusions and Resolutions — tracked by Sid Constantine, mixed by Govinda Doyle, and mastered by Mathew Gray — unleashed fan-favorites “Misgivings are Through” and “Blood On Your Hands,” sparking their first international jaunt through Japan’s punk underground.
The Wrath kept rolling with “Long Time Dead” in 2019, then dropped “Wrong Side” in 2022 — a prescient gut-punch with a self-produced animated video that screams defiance. Even as the world flipped upside down, they adapted, landing a standout gig at Movieworld’s Fright Nights on the Gold Coast. That residency wasn’t just a paycheck—it was fuel for their next move.
Into the Arms of Oblivion pushes their sound further, defying expectations and doubling down on the raw energy that’s defined them for two decades. The Wrath aren’t slowing down — they’re sharpening their edge for Australia, Japan, and beyond. Catch them live, and see why they’ve outlasted the rest.

Bio:
It is the rare band that can stand the test of time to honestly say that they have the staying power that The Wrath does. Twenty-two years of noisemaking, and they are still provoking mayhem everywhere they tread. They are the mainstays of Australian punk/rock. Beginning their journey in the hazier days of the Australian music scene in 2003, they have covered Australia and Japan – now they are inciting their riot once again with a brand-new 3rd full length record.
In their tenure as one of Australia’s most high-energy and well-respected punk/rock acts, The Wrath has broken down barriers between genres, both sound-wise and visually, with conviction. Whether they have founded their identity upon many genres or simply defied a specific genre’s permanency is yours to decide, but they continuously dominate venues with bands vastly diverse in the punk, rock, metal, rockabilly, hardcore, goth and industrial realms.

The Wrath is Tommy Creeper – a maniac on the mic – his darkwave vocals aren’t just filled with passion, they are laced with old-school crooner style. The guitars of the gang are looked after by Spectre Deano and Carina Acquarola. The sound is then anchored to the grave by the super-charged rhythm section of The Count eternally on double bass and Dan Briffa smashing the drums.
Over the years, The Wrath has carved its niche in the Australian music sub-culture world, gaining respect from bands and audiences alike. They have shared the stage and kicked out the jams in venues with the likes of The Misfits, The Meteors, Tiger Army, Nekromantix, Good Riddance, Supersuckers, No Use For A Name, T.S.O.L., Lagwagon, The 69 Eyes, Pulley and I Killed the Prom Queen just to name a few. Their reputation as a cracking live act earned them many spots at festivals nationwide, including the famous Big Day Out, Dead of Winter, Wallapolooza, and many more.
2015 saw the much anticipated 2nd full-length album “Disillusions and Resolutions” roll out smoothly with impressive responses from Industry doers and once again brought The Wrath’s main arteries to pump at full force. Recorded by Sid Constantine, Mixed by Govinda Doyle and Mastered by Mathew Gray, the hybrid combination captured with quality indeed showed that the music was worth the wait.
The first single “Misgivings are Through” came at listeners like a bull out of the gate and set the pace for a return to touring and doing what The Wrath do best.. It followed up with a politically charged film clip for the single “Blood On Your Hands” coinciding with The Wrath’s first international tour, which was playing across several prefectures in Japan and making many cool and crazy fans along the way.
2019 gave birth to a renewed momentum to The Wrath performing more shows around Australia with the single release “Long Time Dead” before the world turned upside-down. As the world slowly turns right side up the fitting belated 2022 release of the new single “Wrong Side” hit the digital airwaves along with a monumental self-produced fully animated film clip, putting forward the proposition that it ‘feels like I’m standing on the wrong side of history; close your eyes, there’s no escape as I watch this burn in hell’.. funnily enough this track was written and recorded before all the pandemic chaos went down.
The momentum generated by the latest singles and tour also opened the door for The Wrath to perform for the first time in a corporate setting, appearing at Australia’s premiere Halloween event, Fright Nights hosted by Movieworld on the Gold Coast.
It is during these residencies that The Wrath went to work on their third full-length creation. Pushing the boundaries of their sound and challenging outside expectations once again.
“Into the Arms of Oblivion” will be ready for release in early 2025.
